This isn’t the best poem technically, but the words came true, which is more than I can say for any of the words I have written on love or other topics. They came true, because we have a God Who cares about our well-being. I thank Him for that. The girl I prayed for, and the girl many of my friends prayed for, is recovering. She was diagnosed with liver cancer and given days to live.
Let us continue to pray for her, and remember when we combine our faith with the promises of the Lord, miracles happen.
Prayer for a Girl
Lord,
This prayer is for a girl I do not know,
who lays ill ten thousand miles away.
I shall mark my words with Yours alone,
for They are the author of my faith.
It says in our Book it shall be a sign,
of Your love for us, and eternal truth,
that we may lay hands upon the dying,
and see their bodies awaken, and renewed.
Oh Lord, as I am now in a far off land.
I cannot be there to touch her on the face.
So I’ll send this note of my hand,
To touch her. Please honor this faith.
